Andrew is a qualified accountant with over 20 years' experience. He is the finance director for Morgan Sindall Investments Limited and has been employed by the Morgan Sindall Group since 2006. He has operated at board level for over 10 years and holds a number of investment directorships. A key responsibility is to maintain a good relationship with the senior funders and other key stakeholders and to ensure projects meet their financial and compliance obligations. Andrew has played a key role in a number of company acquisitions and investment disposals.
Richard is a MSIL board director having joined the business in 2006. He heads up the Capital Transactions which encompasses project finance, financial modelling, legal services and transaction management. He also sits on a number of operational project boards, including PPP and strategic property joint ventures principally with the public sector.
Director of Development
Wes is a chartered surveyor with over 20 years’ experience in property acquisition, planning and development. He joined the Morgan Sindall Investments Board in 2018 to lead on all development activity within the Public Private Partnership environment, delivering complex multiphase mixed tenure projects and delivering the business strategy to ensure returns for both client, sister companies and MSIL. Wes is responsible for the development pipeline of the Morgan Sindall platforms in Slough, Bournemouth, Oxleas, Burton and Hub West Scotland.
Director of New Partnerships
Andrew leads work winning in the asset backed sector, particularly joint venture property partnerships. He has over 25 years’ experience of property development across a number of sectors including student accommodation, hotels, offices, housing, retail food and drink, education and health.
Director of New Partnerships
Adrian works primarily with the public sector to deliver new long term partnership solutions. His expertise includes property and other joint ventures and a range of other commercial structures. Adrian is a qualified lawyer with over 20 years’ experience and was a Partner in a major international law firm before taking up his current role. He sits on the board of Slough Urban Renewal, our partnership with Slough Borough Council and as well as leading on new partnerships, has responsibility within the business for legal and commercial matters and Corporate Social Responsibility.
Head of Strategic Health Partnerships
Peter has over 30 years’ experience in both the Public and Private Sectors covering commercial banking, health service development and asset development and management. Joining in 2006, Peter leads on Morgan Sindall Investments’ Property and Estate management service offer providing security to Investors that obligations under leases and project documents are being met.
Head of Project Finance
Mark is the Head of Project Finance and is responsible for the development of funding approaches and investor relationships. Mark provides leadership on developing relationships with joint venture partners, securing senior and equity finance, managing project due diligence, performing financial evaluations and financial modelling and provides support for commercial and contractual negotiations up to contractual and financial close and during operations thereafter. He has been involved in more than fifty outsourcing, procurement and structured finance transactions in different sectors including education, residential, culture and leisure services, and emergency services. He is also a Director of a number of holding and project companies.
General Manager, Slough Urban Renewal
Andy is the General Manager for MSIL’s Slough Urban Renewal JV with Slough Borough Council and is currently working alongside the Partnership’s board and wider stakeholders to plan and deliver the overall strategic vision. With an increased pipeline of regeneration projects planned for the next 10 years, Andy is continuing to drive SUR’s success, improving the residential, educational, leisure, social and commercial infrastructure of Slough for the benefit of all those who live and work in the town. Andy has a broad portfolio of property development experience and has previously assisted clients in a strategic advisory role, developing best practice and directing multiple development activities.
Duncan Johnston BSc Estate Management
Development Director, Bournemouth Development Company
Duncan joined MSIL in 2007 coming from both a construction & development background in various sectors, with 15+ years in a lead role in developing for Public Sector Partnerships. Duncan was instrumental in the successful bid for the Local Asset Backed Vehicle in Bournemouth, establishing The Bournemouth Development Company llp (BDC) and continuing to prove delivery with day to day responsibility as Development Director. Building on being the first LABV, the successes have also delivered the first student accommodation and the first build to rent schemes for MSIL.
General Manager, Chalkdene Developments
Ben is the General Manager for Chalkdene Developments in Hertfordshire. Ben has been part of the MSIL team developing PPP business for over 10 years and has a particular focus on Joint Ventures and Partnerships with Public Sector Organisations. Ben has successfully led several bid teams and established numerous public private partnerships that have delivered more that £500m of community projects such as schools and health care facilities and is responsible for developing unique partnership offerings and progressing this through to the establishment of our Joint Ventures. Ben was responsible for establishing Hub West Scotland, a complex a 60/40 JV between MSIL and the Scottish Futures Trust and 15 Public Sector Participants (Public Sector Partners) including the Greater Glasgow & Clyde NHS Foundation Trust. Ben was subsequently appointed as a Director of Hub West Scotland and is also a Board Member of five other successful joint venture project companies.
Development Director, STRIDE and The Oxleas Property Partnership
Neil is the Development Director for MSIL’s two Strategic Estate Partnerships and is a senior commercial manager with over 20 years’ experience in project finance, transaction and commercial management. Neil also sits on a number of operational boards mainly in partnership with the public sector on strategic property joint ventures.
Partnership Director, STRIDE and The Oxleas Property Partnership (TOPP)
Kath is the Partnership Director for MSIL’s two Strategic Estate Partnerships. With over 20 years health experience across both primary care and acute sectors, Kath works closely with the SEP Partners to realise the Partnerships’ strategic plan and vision for the future which focusses on optimising the Trusts’ estate to best support service delivery and maximise revenue. Kath has broad development, commercial and general management experience gained at a senior level and also sits on the Board of a PPP specialising in healthcare development in partnership with the public sector.
Commercial Director, hub West Scotland
With over 25 years of experience in construction and infrastructure, David has spent the last 15 years primarily focusing on delivering projects and services within public private partnerships in the UK. David is lead Director for the hub West Scotland platform which has to date developed schemes with a value in excess of £375m.
Senior Investment Manager
Ken is key member of the Capital Transactions team at MSIL with over 15 years of experience in project finance, capital raising, investment management, and transaction and commercial management across a number of sectors including real estate and infrastructure. Since joining MSIL in 2010, has been involved in PPP/PFI and strategic property joint ventures principally with the public sector and assists in establishing investment joint ventures with third party equity providers. In addition, he also sits on the board of MSIL’s investment joint ventures.
Senior Commercial Manager
Hugh is responsible for leading MSIL projects in the extra care and specialist housing sector – a sector that MSIL is prioritising as a major growth opportunity. His work spans projects being delivered through MSIL's established partnerships as well as more speculative projects and covers a variety of tenure models. Hugh joined MSIL in 2009 and has previously led large, complex MSIL bids utilising Public Private Partnership, private finance and asset backed contractual structures. These projects have delivered schools, housing, civic offices, hospitals and a host of other social infrastructure accommodation.
