Kentish Town Health Centre awarded two coveted design awards: RIBA London Award 2009NHS LIFT Design Award 2009
Community Solutions for Primary Care (CSPC), a joint venture company of Morgan Sindall Investments Limited, has been awarded the RIBA 2009 Award for Architectural Excellence in the London region. CSPC received the two awards on 18th March and 21 May 2009 respectively.
The Kentish Town Health Centre demonstrated to the judges how the building efficiently provides a positive work place for staff, responds to the local environment and inspires health and well-being within the local community.
The Kentish Town Health Centre was designed by Allford Hall Monaghan and Morris (AHMM) architects and developed by Camden & Islington Community Solutions (CICS) for NHS Camden, a CSPC subsidiary. The £10.5m development, constructed by Morgan Ashurst was completed and became operational in December 2008.
Kentish Town Health Centre accommodates a large GP Practice, NHS Camden health visiting, district nursing and community dental services, a breast screening service, joint Health and Local Authority children’s services, diagnostics, a gym and a community café.
